Arm is feeling a lot better at the moment. The pain hasn't totally gone away, but it is very manageable. As I mentioned before, a significant part of my badminton game was reliant on my smash - and the injury meant that I couldn't hit the shuttle with any degree of power at all. So for the last few weeks I had to make increasing use of drop shots and net plays. Overall, it was very useful practice and I have learnt the lesson to include more of these shots in my game to vary the style and tempo.
I played badminton every night last week - Monday to Wednesday at St Andrews, Thursday as a visitor at Bookham, and Friday at Wimbledon - so I took a well deserved break over the weekend to recharge my batteries before another week rolled into view. I don't know where the time goes!
In other good news, on Facebook I recently added a girl I used to work with years ago at Chessington WOA. After talking long into the night I actually managed to extract her phone number and a date for tomorrow (well, today) at 9pm. Venue will not be disclosed until after the date to reduce the risk of certain people *accidentally* turning up! Stay tuned.
