This month I would be almost $1,000 up at poker, but sadly the real figure is closer to $550. Why? I'm convinced I ran into a scammer on Will Hill, so watch out if you play there Bob - his handle is 'Mopsy.'
I found nut straight, 9 high, on the turn, and pushed all my chips in - as did another player who had an identical hand. No problems there. Since I'd only just sat down there was about $400 or so in the pot at this time, with action on 'Mopsy.' The fucking muppet then calls my all-in bet with two pair, makes a full house on the river, and scoops the whole pot - now $600. I almost threw my computer out the window in disgust.
Three hands later, board was 993KJ - one player had the underfull, another had hit the overfull on the turn, and 'Mopsy' called on the turn with a straight flush draw and rivered everyone else with his one out - Jd. He retired from the $1/2 table with about $1,400. It's fucking sick.
Dude, it happens. Like in life, in poker, nothing is guaranteed. Even if your opponent has 1 out, its still possible he'll win.
ReplyDeleteHehe, made it in the end. The penultimate day of my short stay in Canada was my 4th poker session. I started with my usual $200 stack at $1/2 PL on Will Hill and ended my session with $660.
ReplyDeleteTotal prize money over 4 Canadian internet sessions = $1,080 USA, so approximately $1,150 Canadian.
